Our first games start tonight for the boys league. Here are some reminders for coaches, team managers, and parents of what to expect.
Weather Policy
Games will be played in the rain unless lightening is visible in the area. Games played through at least half way of 3rd quarter will be called complete games otherwise will be rescheduled.
Games may also be cancelled if fields flood. This happened a couple times last season.
Sidelines
Parents must sit on the opposite side of the scorer's table and benches. (League Rule)
Each game requires at least one adult scorer and one adult timekeeper, both provided by the home team. Kids can assist at the scorers table but cannot run a game without an adult present.
Each game requires a sideline manager(sitting on parents side) to control the crowd. This is a new rule this year and I doubt there will be any issues, but a ref may ask who is your sideline manager. Your main job as sideline manager is to make sure no one is on the end line where they could be struck by a ball.
Scoring tables have the field setup, where to put the 7 cones, and how to use the time clock taped on the table.
Scoring in the book is optional and is not used by the league. But it helps to track the game like timeouts and scores. And reminds the coach what the score was so they can report it to the league.
Endlines
No kids or parents are allowed on an end line without a helmet. Safety issue. A hard shot you don't see could injure you.
Game Format
Games are 4 quarters, 12 minutes running time. Each team gets one timeout per half.
Games last about one hour, running clock makes this easy.
Referees
Each game will have two referees. We are doing a lot mentoring this season to bring on new refs. Please be patient and understanding. Feel free to ask questions at half time or after the game. Let them focus on the game during the game.

You can go there to see team scores, standings, and other information like camps and clinics in the area.
Thanks, have fun, and enjoy the games!
